DC Universe Relaunch

So to those who haven't heard, DC comics (home to Superman, Wonderwoman, and Batman) are reset there huge (almost) all comic encompassing universe, the DC Universe (DCU), back to zero and are doing so by relaunching new version of there 52 main comic book. I'm really exited about this cause I've wanted to get into Superhero comics for the longest time but have been put off by there highly complex shared history. So the relaunch will start Wednesday August 31st (this Wednesday) with the Justice League relaunch. The other 51 comics will be relaunched September 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th (all Wednesdays). I'll post a schedule with VERY, VERY, VERY brief descriptions below --v.

As for this week. I'm going to the Justice League relaunch at Third Eye Comics Wednesday at 5 pm (after work) and probably stay til 7 pm maybe 6 pm. I'd REALLY like for at least some of you to come. You don't even have to buy the comic (though it couldn't hurt, it's only 4 dollars or so), it's this huge thing and lots of fans will be there and you can check out the store. Let me know if you want to come, and we can work it out.

So, 52 comics at 4 dollars each over the course of about a month. Definitely not going to buy all those. But I have a cunning plan. To everyone who wants to buy some comics, we all agree to buy different comics and trade of when we are finished reading them. That way we don't have to each spend over 200 hundred dollars.

Or, sense Third Eye has a little scam where in you buy all 52 relaunched comics and get a 52 dollar gift card, everyone who wants to buy comics can give me money for the comics they want and I can buy them for them and I can get the gift card for us to share.

Alright, so there are only three more weeks left of the DCU Relaunch.

Now I probably should have told you this before but, for The Plan to work I'd need 5 people (me included) buying 10 out of the 52 Relaunch each (with 2 comic remaining). That would come to about $ 40 per-person over the course of the month, or sense the Relaunch is half over and all the good is only just coming out anyway over the course of three weeks.

I get that not everyone is into superhero comics, and even some that are don't wanna go in on a big shared venture. But hey, the way I see it, it's fun way to finally get into hero comics and get more comics down the line. If it works, great. If not, whatever. At least we all got to try out some great comics.

You can jump in on the plan anytime between now and the 28th but the sooner I get a yes or no the better. If you got time I'm going in tomorrow, 5 to 7ish. If not we're got 2 more weeks. And If you wanna go anytime other then Wednesday just let me know and we can talk. You can buy the comics anytime.

Tomorrow is September 21st, the second to last week of the DCU relaunch. Not to late to jump on the wagon, and there's still plenty of comics out there. I'd like to make the last relaunch this big group thing, so if you haven't gone yet, even if you have no interest in the relaunch please come along. Third Eye has a whole galaxy of comic to check out. To those who are interested in The Plan we now have 10/52 of the relaunched comics and are if nothing else one the way to that glorious 52 dollar gift card. Remember, what you bought is yours but please spread around any comics that are good.
